Jeff is a Co-Founder of Hope Gel® and a urologist in Boca Raton, Florida practicing since 1993. He has been to Haiti 12 times both before and after the devastating earthquake of 2010, and has seen the devastating effect that malnutrition has had there. In addition to regularly performing much needed urological surgery in Haiti, Dr. Miller has dedicated much effort toward combating malnutrition as both a founding and active member of the Hope Gel project

Nate is a Co-Founder of Hope Gel® and a Co-Founder of EB Performance LLC, a functional beverage company specializing in high-protein formulations. He is also a licensed chiropractor. Nate is a graduate of Cornell University and New York Chiropractic College. His undergraduate studies emphasized a strong science background in human development and psychology. He has been honored with various awards for academic excellence and leadership at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Nate oversaw the business operations of chiropractic healthcare clinics in both New York and Florida prior to owning his own chiropractic health and wellness practice in Boca Raton, Florida. It was during this time that he founded EB Performance followed by Hope Gel and decided to pursue his love and passion for helping others by devoting his time and energy on a full-time basis to both ventures.

Dan is a Co-Founder of Hope Gel®. He is also a Co-Founder and Partner at EB Performance LLC, a functional beverage company specializing in high-protein formulations. Prior to that he served as a financial analyst at one of the leading business valuation and litigation support firms in the country.  His duties included the valuing of stock in private and publicly held companies for the purposes of mergers & acquisitions, estate planning, and shareholder disputes.  Clients included start-up companies, family businesses and divisions of Fortune 500 companies. Prior to that, he spent two years as an analyst for a leading hedge fund where he co-managed portfolios for institutional and private investors. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Florida and an M.B.A from Florida Atlantic University.

Alison Miller graduated Suma Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania in 2016 with a degree in Cognitive Sciences and worked with the Manhattan District Attorney office in New York City pursuing a career in law with a focus on social justice. She is currently a law student at Georgetown in Washington, D.C. pursuing a career in public interest. Immediately after the earthquake in 2010 she travelled to Haiti with the Boca Raton Regional Hospital and witnessed both the quake induced devastation and the short and long-term effects of malnutrition that ensued. She then assumed an integral role in the creation of the HopeGel project as a cofounder and continues to work hard both organizing product shipment and fundraising for the project.

Steve is a Co-Founder at EB Performance LLC, and is responsible for all initial and future product formulations. He is the President of NUTRIFAB, LLC, which he formed to assist branded companies in formulating and commercializing healthy foods & beverages and to pursue novel food applications through his own research. A member of the Institute of Food Technologists since 1979, Steve has worked in the industry for over 30 years with established and industry-leading companies including Dean Foods, The National Food Processors Association/National Food Laboratory, CLOROX, Carnation Dairy, Nature Made vitamins, Rexall Sundown, Designer Whey and many more. Since receiving his Food Science B.S. at University of Illinois and M.S. at University of California – Davis, he has developed a multitude of low-carbohydrate and/or protein-fortified products for weight management, sports, military, medical nutrition, and condition-specific products. Before forming NUTRIFAB in January, 2005, Steve was Director of Product Development for Protient, Inc., a manufacturer of membrane-filtered dairy and soy proteins. There he developed both protein-based food and beverage prototypes as well as new protein ingredients with specific functionalities. With expertise in taking products from concept to finished-product development, Steve is familiar with many manufacturing environments, including snack food, confectionery, nutrition bar, pharmaceutical, and dry-blending facilities, as well as many ingredient manufacturing sites. Steve has invented many successful nutritional products and processes, co-authoring several USA and international patents specific to the use of whey proteins.

Rachel Miller, BSN, RN, received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing at the University of Arizona and originally practiced as a pediatric oncology nurse. She currently is a urologic nurse in Boca Raton and has been active in the Hope Gel® project since its inception, having traveled to Haiti and Guatemala numerous times coordinating distribution of product with nutritional centers abroad and providing nutritional support to health care providers in third world counties.

Amanda graduated New York University in 2017 with an interdisciplinary degree in philosophy, religion, and mental health. She is currently attending Columbia University to obtain a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work. Following graduation, she hopes to combine her passion for social justice and her social work skills and pursue a career in public interest law. She has traveled internationally to countries including Haiti and Guatemala to document the beneficial effects of Hope Gel® on impoverished populations. One of the original cofounders, Amanda has been active with the Hope Gel Project since its inception. Most recently, she has spearheaded the effort to bring Hope Gel to the many malnourished children at nutrition centers in rural Guatemala.

Karin is a graduate of Emory University who dedicates her personal and professional life to serving others. With a strong background in operations, marketing, customer service, and talent acquisition, Karin works passionately as part of the Hope Gel® team to strengthen operations, programs and awareness to address the global issue of malnutrition through nourishment and hope. Karin is a consultant for the Samaritans365 Foundation, and ensures the collaboration between Hope Gel and S365 that establishes overseas Samaritans365 clubs for Hope Gel Families, and partnerships with existing US Samaritans365 clubs to promote Kindness, inspire hope, and to help educate Hope Gel Families about the importance of taking care of themselves and giving back to others.
